About Course
Pekiti Tirsia Kali — Seguidas Set 1
Seguidas means to bridge, follow up, or continue with continuous strikes. It is an old-school Pekiti Tirsia Kali training system that was taught by Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje Jr.in the United States during the early 1980s.
This material was later passed down to Tuhon Kanishka by Grand Tuhon Leo Gaje and Tuhon Phillips.
The Seguidas system consists of three sets, with each set containing 12 techniques. Each set addresses specific combat ranges, angles, and tactical applications.
Seguidas Set 1
This tutorial focuses on Seguidas Set 1, which teaches you to operate primarily from long range to medium range, using continuous striking, follow-ups, counters, and transitions.
The 12 techniques are structured as follows:
Techniques 1–5:Counters and responses to Angle 1
Techniques 6–8:Counters and responses to Angle 2
Techniques 9–11:The Broken Fluids System and circular striking concepts
Technique 12:A ground-fighting application where you are underneath an opponent, using strikes to the knees and elbows
Seguidas Set 1 is designed to develop the ability to flow continuously from one attack to the next, maintain pressure, manage range, and transition effectively between techniques.
This tutorial preserves and presents this traditional Pekiti Tirsia Kali material as taught through the lineage of Grand Tuhon Leo Gaje → Tuhon Kanishka
